H Queen’s presents ‘Exit Strategies’, a site-specific art experience conceived by David Chan. Featuring works by established and emerging artists from Hong Kong, ‘Exit Strategies’ utilises the public space of H Queen’s to explore notions of psychological escapism experienced in response to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. Including both realized artworks and new commissions, works range from installation, video, sculpture, photography and sound, providing varying examples of psychological withdrawal, negation and delusion as forms of escapism from the frenzy of our everyday lives in the city. ‘Exit Strategies’ aims to immerse audiences in a transitory environment as they descend the building from the 17^th floor to the ground floor and to stage phenomena of collapse, inversion, compression, and delusion.
